What We Offer

Columbia University NSBE offers a variety of opportunities that aid in assisting undergraduate and graduate-level students in their professional and academic endeavors. Our chapter's main goal is to endorse and maintain the NSBE National Mission by ensuring that our members excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. Throughout the academic year, our chapter hosts weekly meetings that focus on these values. Some past meetings have included resume workshops, alumni discussions, mock interviews, and study tips.

Mentorship

Within our chapter, we have initiated a mentorship program so that freshman and sophomore students can meet, mingle, and establish relationships with upperclassmen in their fields of study. In doing this, we hope to create a stronger chapter network and provide students with additional resources to assist them in their academic endeavors.

Pre-College Initiative

PCI is aimed at exposing underrepresented high school students to STEM fields. CU NSBE is currently partnered with the Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy. By exposing students to the many opportunities awaiting them in math and science we hope to increase student interest in math and science-related careers.
